//Agent DLC
Agent DLC is the development lifecycle for AI agents, extending the pipelines, governance, and controls you already trust for code to the full agent lifecycle.
Non-deterministic
An agent decides its own tools and actions on every run, so a test that passes once is no guarantee it passes again.
Compliance
An agent that exposes data or acts without authorization becomes a compliance event, not just an incident.
Provenance
Prompts, skills, tools, and models evolve on their own, with no single system tracking version or provenance.

//Overview
An agent development lifecycle (Agent DLC) is the discipline of building, testing, versioning, deploying, operating and governing AI agents with the same rigour as application code, adapted for agents that can act differently on the same input.
DataObserve Developer extends your existing pipelines to agents: agents build into artifacts, pass eval quality gates, version every prompt, model and dependency, ship through governed pipelines, and get an owner, an AI-BOM and one audit trail from build to production.
//One platform
Agents run through the same stages you already run for software, inheriting your CI/CD pipelines, policies, and audit trail.
CI
Like any other service, through the same CI that builds everything else. No new build system required.
//Security woven into every stage
Scan skills, prompts, and models before they ship, and capture every model, tool, and dependency.
Run agents against adversarial inputs across the OWASP Top 10 for LLM and agentic AI risk.
Map agents as they spin up, then block prompt injection and tool misuse at runtime.
OPA policies, approval gates, and audit trails apply to every agent pipeline.

Cosmos takes engineering work from idea to merge-ready code.
AI DLC (AI-Driven Development Lifecycle) applies AI across the whole software lifecycle, not just to writing code.
The Software Delivery Agent builds continuous delivery pipelines, runs them, and fixes what breaks.
//Use cases
Ship agent changes through CI/CD with quality gates instead of manual uploads.
Version and roll back prompts and models like any other dependency.
Scan agent primitives and test against the OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications.
Know every agent in use, who owns it and what it can reach.
//FAQs
What is Agent DLC?
The development lifecycle for AI agents: build, test, store, deploy, operate, and govern, on the platform and governance you already use.
Why do agents need their own lifecycle?
Agents are not deterministic. The same agent can take a different action on identical input, so a test that passes once is no guarantee.
Do I need a separate toolchain for agents?
No. Agents build through CI, ship through CD, and are governed by the OPA policies and RBAC already in your pipelines.
What is an AI-BOM?
An AI bill of materials lists the models, prompts, datasets, tools and dependencies inside an AI agent, so security and compliance teams know exactly what is running.
How do you test a non-deterministic agent?
With evals: suites of scored test cases graded on a spectrum, run in the pipeline as a quality gate and repeated online after release.
Can agents be rolled back?
Yes. Prompts, models and dependencies are versioned artifacts, so an agent can be rolled back to a known-good version through the same pipeline.
